Классика и новый классицизм. Франция, Италия (1919-1939)
В работе рассматривается проблема включения классических мотивов (тематических и стилистических) в контекст искусства модернизма. Длительный период следования классической парадигме, с модификацией и расширением ее изобразительных возможностей, по сути, подходит к завершению в эпоху романтизма, когда был поставлен под вопрос сам принцип нормативности, творчества в пределах установленных эталонов. Однако отказ от непреложных истин, воплощенных в "совершенной" форме, по сути, означал возвращение к подлинно классическому мышлению, зародившемуся и вызревавшему в ситуации агона - открытой дискуссии, где в соревновании аргументов шел поиск истины. В этой атмосфере обсуждения, критического исследования сложилась культура Древней Греции, где были найдены художественные формы, признанные позднее классическими. Фактически тем же путем следовало искусство Ренессанса, достигшее вершин в миметических искусствах живописи и скульптуры.
